the shabby room with low ceilings almost gave me a concussion, very delightful, i might add. I ordered vegan food, but it was utterly basic—no garnish! After such an experience, i expected at least a complimentary dessert, but that seemed too much to ask. almost gave a decent review, but just couldn’t.

Recommend it for couples seeking comfort
The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was sublime. Ed’s personal touch with everyone was evident, he remembered names like a seasoned pro. We stayed cozy next to the fire, enjoying a lovely dinner that brought back memories of real home-cooked meals.
It cost a bit more than expected,, but you know what? It was still acceptable for the experience.

The traditional pub atmosphere felt inviting.
The lack of mobile reception was incredibly frustrating. I had poor WiFi in the bar and wasn't able to stay connected at all. The room was located upstairs, which added unnecessary hassle given the absence of lift access. I felt more isolated than relaxed during my stay.

I enjoyed a lovely stay with friendly staff who remember your name. After a long walk, it was a relief to find a clean room with enough space. The traditional pub atmosphere felt inviting, and the meal I had was hearty and well-prepared. The local church nearby was an interesting visit, adding to the charm of the place.
There was limited mobile reception, and the stairs to the rooms might be challenging for some guests.

It was just a commendable fit for a rapid stop in Skipton with definitely value for money. The bar had a great selection of local beers that made for a relaxing evening. Try to arrive well before kitchen closing time if you want a meal.

A cozy escape with great vibes!
This place is an absolute gem! The bar area is lively, and I had some fun chats with fellow travelers. The staff was super friendly, and Ed really knew how to make everyone feel at home. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, especially the tasty local options. Just be ready for some steep stairs to your room.

missingWrote a review on 27 Maytraditional atmosphereexceptional servicebasic roomlimited cell signalexposed view
The traditional atmosphere combined with exceptional service made the stay memorable, especially the hilarious bar staff who added a personal touch. The rhubarb crumble here was a standout, truly one of the best I've had. the room was quite basic and lacked charm compared to others, and the lack of WiFi along with limited cell signal added some frustration. The location felt a bit exposed due to the ground-level view right onto the road.
